During my career at CILT, the National Centre for Languages, I have been directly involved in the organisation of over 1000 events, including seminars for 10-50 people, large national conferences and exhibitions for up to 250 people, and CILT's biggest annual conference and exhibition, the Primary Languages Show, catering for over 900 delegates over two days, 70 speakers, with combinations of parallel workshops, plenaries and language taster sessions. Overseas I have worked with Embassies, Cultural Institutes, Chambers of Commerce and Tourism Agencies to organise one and two week long EU-funded language and culture courses in France, Germany, Spain and Italy.

Peter Boaks Memorial Curry Thursday 30 November 2007
This event was organised to celebrate the life of Peter Boaks, former Deputy and then Acting Director of CILT, one year since he passed away. 25 of his close colleagues and friends attended the meal at the Bhatti Indian Restaurant in Covent Garden. A lovely evening was spent reminiscing over past times, recounting stories and reliving many happy memories. Organised with the support of CILT and ALL.

Spanish for the Primary School 27 May to 2 June 2007
A one week language and culture course for 40 teachers of Spanish in Primary Schools. A lively mix of language classes, discussions and an extensive cultural and recreational programme to immerse teachers inthe Spanish lifestyle. Aim: to increase linguistic fluency and confidence, and to exchange ideas and develop materials to support their teaching. Organised on behalf of the National Centre for Languages, UK.

Advice for final year undergraduates enrolled in Events Management degrees March to May 2007
Telephone and email support to students researching and writing their final year dissertations. Students from a variety of UK universities.

Delivering and developing Google's industry and academic sponsorship of events in the field of software engineering. Delivering a monthly programme of sponsorships per month as well as Google special networking events and parties.
